Originally setting their sights on the Honeysuckle Railway Workshops, the group encountered hurdles in acquiring the location. Nevertheless, they persevered and breathed new life into the historic Castlemaine Brewery, transforming it into the museum's home from 1988 to 2008. In pursuit of progress and evolution, the former museum closed its doors to make way for the construction of a new, state-of-the-art facility in the vibrant Honeysuckle district.
